This site is dedicated to working writers—those who are either making money writing, or who want to make money doing so.
You’ve got an entrepreneurial spirit about you. Yet you know that the writing life can be a lonely one. Where are the other writers who are doing what you’re doing?
We bring them to you here, through our unique writer interviews. You’ll pick up tips from real writers who are making money with books, online courses, freelance writing, screenwriting, editing, teaching, coaching, speaking, grant writing, tech writing, and much more.
You’ll also gain access to information about workshops, books, and online courses that can help you gain the skills you need to successfully grow your writing career.
Best of all, you’ll find what you need to learn about being your own boss. As a writer making money, you are in business for yourself, which makes you the CEO. Are you running your business like a CEO would? Are you taking care of yourself as a business owner, running your business efficiently, and making wise decisions for your future?
It’s a lot for one person to do, so we’re here to help. You’re not alone in this endeavor anymore. Feel free to explore the site, and don’t forget to sign up for our newsletter to get the most out of what we have to offer.
Write like you’re in charge, because you are!
Who's Behind Writer CEO?
Hi there!
My name is Colleen M. Story, and I’ve been a full-time freelance writer for over 20 years now. I’ve spent my life writing for a living, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
It hasn’t always been easy, however. I remember a lot of ups and downs, and many times when I wondered if I should give up the dream of being an independent writer. Looking back now, I’m so glad I didn’t, but I know how tough it can get.
That’s why I’m dedicated to helping other writers see their dreams come true. Whether you’re just starting a writing business, struggling with the one you have, or simply trying to expand your career in new ways, I’ll help you get the information you need, while doing everything I can to encourage you and cheer you on.
I hope you’ll join the WriterCEO community by signing up for our newsletter. Meanwhile, I’ve got a few other sites you may want to visit, and if you want to contact me, feel free to reach out here.
